About

I love my work as Director of Corporate Relations/Career Transitions at one of Jeffersontown’s most-admired non-profits, USA Cares. I work with service members leaving the military transition into the civilian work force. I have never had a more rewarding job. I am a Michigan native and graduated from Central Michigan University. I moved to Kentucky in the 1980s and have lived and or worked in Jeffersontown for most of my time in Louisville. I stay active with some of my favorite hobbies — golf, pickleball, and travel. I am married to Rick, and I have two grown adult daughters.

Volunteering for the Jeffersontown Chamber is a way to give back to the community. I rarely miss a Chamber event, I have served on the Chamber board always willing to help the Chamber achieve its goals. I have met some of the best people through the Chamber including my Husband at a networking event. I enjoy connecting people and supporting other Chamber businesses. JTown is a tight-knit community, and they recognize the importance of building a foundation to keep the community close.

I have been involved with the Chamber for over 10 years, I served as a board member for 6 of those years and an ambassador. I am excited to serve as a board member starting in 2024.

I believe honesty and integrity are the key to success. Trust is something you earn, employees, suppliers, and customers, all must know that they can trust you. I also feel you should have a passion for what you do, loving your work makes it easier to carry out your daily duties so it won’t feel like it’s work. Treat people the way you want to be treated and always do the right thing.
