Business Development/Sales Associate

Floor Coverings International Louisville East is looking for a high performing business development/sales associate for the Louisville market. 

As a national leader in "in-home" flooring sales, we pride ourselves on delivering a seamless, consultative experience for our customers. In this role, you will spend approximately 40% of your time networking and developing residential and commercial leads and about 60% of your time running company and self-generated sales appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-home design consultations, measurements, and proposal presentations.
  • Manage project documentation, payment collection, and coordination with production team.
  • Drive business growth through networking (including BNI participation), home shows, Chamber Events and local marketing efforts.
  • Maintain the Mobile Showroom and company equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Tech-savvy and able to learn new software quickly.
  • Clean driving record and availability for occasional evening/weekend appointments.
  • Prior in-home sales experience is a plus.
  • Prior flooring, construction or home remodeling experience is a plus, but not required.

Training & Compensation

Sales Associates participate in 6–8 weeks of comprehensive training, including self-study, shadowing, and online Inspired Sales Course. This position is base pay + commission, with no upper limit on earnings; full-time associates can earn over $80,000+ per year. Benefits include, a monthly cell phone allowance, use of a company vehicle for appointments, paid training and optional health insurance.
